Nathalie Costie, BSc

Research Assistant I

I received my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University in May of 2019.  The nature of the laboratory environment has always been a huge interest of mine, whether that be the applications used, the subject matter, or my colleagues. With that being said, Lum lab encompasses everything that I’ve been looking for and it was a no-brainer when I decided to join this amazing team in February of 2020. I will be taking on the role of the study coordinator for all human and animal studies. I will also be working in the lab for genotyping, cell culturing, and any laboratory tasks needed. Coming from Nova Scotia, the move has never been easier as I trade one amazing view for the other! I will spend most my time exploring all that this beautiful city has to offer.

RESEARCH FOCUS

I joined the Lum lab in Feb of 2020 and will be here to help the lab while another colleague is on maternity leave. I will be taking over the coordination of several clinical studies, human research ethics, and day-to-day lab routines.
